REAL PEOpLE ROOTED IN JESUS

"And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." -Colossians 2:6-7 NLT

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit."  -Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV

THE THREE ROOTS

This is our mission and the heartbeat behind all that we do.  Reaching Out to our community and our world with the message of Jesus Christ that has the power to change lives.  Growing Strong together in unity, becoming more like Jesus in all that we do.  And Giving Back generously to those around us in need.

We desire to stand as a beacon of hope in the South End of Louisville.

We are the church

Fairdale Christian Church is a Restoration Movement Church.  Here is the jist of what that means:

"Where the Scriptures speak, we speak; where scriptures are silent, we are silent."

We neither add to nor take away from the Holy Bible. We take it at face value and view it through historical context to understand what God is speaking to us today.

"The church of Jesus Christ on earth is essentially, intentionally, and constitutionally one."  "We are Christians only, but not the only Christians."

We value Church unity across denominational lines. The local church is the strongest and most effective when it works with other churches in the community for the cause of Christ.

"In essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; in all things love."

Scripture is very clear about the important things to understand and believe. It's okay to disagree about the color of the sanctuary carpet. You better believe that we love our neighbors no matter what though!
